This world is affected by the ones on top of it, however, so it is your job to clean it of bad guys and return everything to normal. The story revolves around Freddy and his friends again, only this time the events take place in a different world. The mechanics are very similar to the ones usually used by JRPGs, which means that the combat is turn-based (in a way), the map is riddled with random encounters, and the entire thing is played from a top-down perspective. Hence, more is only natural to follow, especially since it is pretty simple to continue a story with not much substance to begin with. However, the atmosphere was quite exciting, and the jump scares always seemed to catch gamers off-guard. Five Nights at Freddy’s is a franchise that managed to create quite a bit of hype amongst gamers, even if the games themselves featured pretty simple concepts.
